All Ready for Matthew to be Born!

Little Matthew is due any day now. I made him an embroidered diaper/burp cloth to match brother Andrew's, and monogrammed a blanket and Pottery Barn suede pillow cover for the little dear.

The pillow cover and blanket are in Conservative Font; the burp cloth in Retro Dots.

Christening Slips... 30 years old.

Many thanks to my friend Pat who trusted me to embroider 13 names and dates on two christening slips made by her mother and an aunt some 30 years ago. What a pleasure it was to study the tiny stitches, and elaborate lace that was used to construct these two amazing pieces. Several names had already been added through the years, but with another birth approaching, it was time to bring both up to date! What a lucky family... the new addition should be in April in the great state of Texas. Congratulations!!
